Janice Pegels, MD, FAAFP, IFMCP has a longstanding interest in integrative medicine.  She enjoys empowering patients to adopt healthy and balanced lifestyle habits that nurture body, mind, and spirit.

Dr. Pegels focuses her practice on treating patients with cognitive health concerns. She utilizes neurologist Dale Bredesen’s program to reverse and prevent cognitive impairment as  described on the website: www.apollohealthco.com.

Dr. Pegels has completed certification as a Recode 2.0 practitioner and has also achieved certification with the Institute for Functional Medicine in 2017. She utilizes her highly specialized education to help patients navigate concerns and changes in their cognitive health. Dr. Pegels approach involves addressing both genetic and environmental factors that contribute to cognitive health and creating custom treatment plans to support cognitive function.

Dr. Pegels is a fellow of the American Academy of Family Medicine.  She completed her undergraduate education at Cornell University, attended SUNY Buffalo School of Medicine, and a residency in Family Medicine in Johnson City, NY.  In addition, Dr. Pegels studied acupuncture with the Helms Medical Institute. 

Dr. Pegels is married and has two grown children and two grandchildren. She enjoys nature, traveling, music, dance and spending time with her family.
