HEALTH COACHING

Massage Therapy

A common misconception about massage therapy is that it’s only part of a day spa or a service intended for pampering yourself. While this may be true for some people, it is a fantastic tool to support and improve your health and well being.

Some specific conditions that massage can help include:

  • Digestive disorders
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Headaches
  • Insomnia
  • Nerve pain
  • Lyme Disease Symptoms
  • Soft tissue strains and injuries
  • Sports injuries
  • Anxiety/Depression
  • Temporomandibular (TMJ) disorders

For most patients, massage therapy is an important part of specific medical treatment plans to help them return to daily activities.

Massage therapy is a safe and effective tool to help you take charge of your health, whether you have a specific health condition or are looking to add another tool to support your well being.

Each massage session is thoughtfully tailored to meet the unique needs of the individual. Sara utilizes a method of contrast: deeply relaxing techniques to activate the parasympathetic nervous system paired with soft tissue mobilization; allowing the release of muscle tension to address chronic pain. She blends a variety of techniques including Trigger point therapy, myofascial release, cross-fiber friction, targeted heat therapy, passive stretching with effleurage, Reiki, titration cues and bilateral movement to facilitate healing and promote nervous system regulation.
