Acupuncture

A practice dating back thousands of years in ancient China, acupuncture is the placement of hair-thin, solid, stainless-steel needles in points throughout the body. They enact and alchemize change, promote healing, and reduce unpleasant symptoms to return your body to balance.

Using metaphor, the placement of needles “unkink” your body’s garden hose; to ensure the smooth flow of water pressure to properly nourish your garden.

The needles act to restore circulation and blood flow through “micro traumas”, signaling the body to send resources and attention to a particular area. Through this, the body is encouraged to enter the parasympathetic state, or what is referred to as “rest and digest” mode, where healing within the body takes place most efficiently.

In modern medicine, acupuncture remains an effective therapy for a wide range of medical conditions. Modern practitioners believe that the pathways identified in traditional Chinese medicine align with key nerves and muscle tissues that are associated with chronic and acute pain and related conditions.
