We are aware that there is a voluntary recall of NP Thyroid by Acella Pharmaceuticals because some lots had an extra 15% of T3. This recall only affects this specific brand of porcine thyroid and only certain lot numbers: click here to see the FDA’s recall notice.
Please contact your pharmacist to see if you have received a recalled lot number. If you have, please work with your pharmacist to replace any medication you have that was in a recalled lot number. They will contact our office if a new script is needed. If you have a preference for another brand to substitute, you may leave a message on the nursing line.
